How the calculation works
Enter the total material mass in your vial and the amount you have chosen for the calculation. Compare the 1, 2 and 3 mL water options, or type a positive custom water amount. Selecting a material changes its label; it does not set a dose or choose a water amount.
- Concentration
- Vial mass in mg ÷ water volume in mL.
- Draw volume
- Entered dose in mg ÷ concentration in mg/mL.
- Scale marking
- Draw volume × the selected scale’s units per mL.
For mcg inputs, 1,000 mcg equals 1 mg. Whole-dose counts exclude any leftover mass and do not account for transfer loss. A result above the selected syringe capacity remains visible and is flagged; the calculator does not split the volume into multiple draws. This tool performs arithmetic only and provides no administration instructions or recommended dose.
